    Southeast is distinguished for the intellectual challenge and range of learning opportunities offered. There are a number of reasons why you will find Southeast to be the place for you.

    Interfraternity Council (IFC)

    The Interfraternity Council is the governing board of the eight fraternities at Southeast Missouri State University. IFC is led by seven elected, executive officers.  The voting membership is composed of two members from each of the individual chapters.  IFC is proud to be one of the driving forces behind Southeast's strong tradition of Greek excellence, providing leadership opportunities within the Greek system and University as a whole.

    National Panhellenic Conference (NPC)

    The Panhellenic Association is the governing board of the six sororities at Southeast Missouri State University. It consists of an executive council and two representatives from each chapter. The association was created to help chapters develop and maintain a high standard of sorority life, and to build inter-sorority relation. Panhellenic believes in furthering education, and helps promote students' awareness of social issues through the Minimum Standards program and other activities. It also encourages the compliance of all University and National Panhellenic Conference's policies, and ensures that the chapters are following these policies.

     

    National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)
    The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of nine (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities, four of which are active on Southeast's campus:  Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.
